Goodbye 2010 and Thank You!
I’m quite sad to say goodbye to 2010. I’ve shared some amazing experiences with some amazing people this past year, I’ve also shared some not-so-amazing experiences with some not-so-amazing people, I’ve followed my heart in the pursuit of love, I’ve been wrongly accused of attempted murder and branded a psycho in the pursuit of love, I’ve moved house, I’ve accidently set fire to my house, I’ve contracted a sexually transmitted disease, I’ve purposely passed on a sexually transmitted disease …okay that last line was a lie but 2010 has been pretty amazing for so many different reasons and I would just like to thank each and every one of you lovely people that read/follow/repost my ramblings and work on here and wish you all a happy new year!
The support you people have shown my photography throughout 2010 has been absolutely amazing!! The kind words and messages people have gone out of their way to send really does motivate me and give me the confidence I lack so badly. Whether you realize it or not I actually wouldn’t be anywhere without you lovely lovely people that repost/reblog/retweet my work and generally network me around the internet as a photographer. Lately I’ve really started to benefit from this as I’m being booked out and contacted more about exciting projects and paid shoots so I really cannot thank you all enough. Then there’s the writing side of the blog, which if I’m being honest, came as a major shock to me! I’ve never had any interest in writing what so ever, I failed English throughout high school and the most intellectual book I’ve ever read is Mileys auto-biography, but in my gotta-keep-up-with-the-latest-social-network-site style I decided I’d get myself a blog and start typing out my thoughts, feelings and adventures and posting them into the great world wide web …and the response has been bloody mad! People I’ve never met before have actually come up to me on the street and told me they follow this and think I’m hilarious! By people I technically mean person as this only happened the once but it was still bloody cool! But the coolest thing of all definitely has to be waking up to an e-mail from the lead singer of my favourite band (Mcfly) and his girlfriend to personally tell me how they enjoyed one of my posts! A post they wouldn’t have ever discovered if it wasn’t for you lovely people clicking that re-blog button and spreading this shit around the internet faster than aids in Africa. So once again, THANK YOU!
And finally, before I wrap this shit up I wanna thank everybody that bought one of my Parawhore t-shirts back in summer!! You people are awesome and unknowingly paid for me to get waaasted with my friends all summer long. Anddd If you have no idea what I’m on about I’ll quickly sum up; Hayley Williams from PARAMORE leaked a picture of her boobies onto the internet and people realized she was a whore, I’m a horrible person and decided it’d be hilarious to print the picture onto a t-shirt, people found it as hilarious as I did and wanted one, I had 100 cheaply printed, made an online shop, sold them for double the price, shipped them worldwide and then proceeded to spend the profits!
So to sum up; 2010 was awesome, you people are awesome, I’m awesome and I hope 2011 is awesome.
